Covid-19 & Cancellations

How can I find out the current travel situation between my country and the UK?
The UK government website has details about the current guidance and rules for travel to the UK, available here.

Is this conference Covid-19 safe?

Safety is of utmost importance to us. All local government rules will be adhered to throughout the conference to ensure a safe and enjoyable conference for all, and we will request that participants do the same. Organisers will update attendees if any arrangements change due to the pandemic.

I am unable to travel to London. Can I participate in the conference online?

Carbon 2022 will be an in-person event and cannot be attended virtually. However, we do not want to exclude anyone from the conference and we are exploring alternative ways people can benefit without attending in-person such as making available the abstracts online afterwards when pre-booked – further details will follow.

I am no longer able to attend the conference. What should I do?

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • In case of an attendee cancellation before the early bird deadline, they will receive a 75% refund.
  • In case of an attendee cancellation after the early bird deadline, there is no refund.
  • If the conference is cancelled, e.g. due to the Covid-19 situation, we will give a full refund minus the costs incurred to that date.
  • If the reason for your cancellation is national restrictions under Covid-19, please see above and email us directly.
